Their solicitors are finding it tough too - now that really is awful...
.
They will all have to make do with their vast profits from Rondevous!

Or see below extract taken from their website - on 30 March 2007.
.
Umm... Perhaps Brian & Mark are going to retire to their villas in Spain, or is it the Cayman Islands?
.
Oooer...
.
We shouldn't ignore the fact Brian & Mark are still directors of Rondevous Ltd. Now Rondevous have used six fictitious names since December 2006!!!
.
The Latest fictitious name is United Casting, they used this name in Carslyle and now in Edinburgh on 31March/1April07. Surely Rondevous is breaking the law in trying to pass themselves off as another (legitimate) agency!
.
Yes, there is a well known legitimate agency called www.unitedcasting.co.uk but they have absolutely nothing to do with Rondevous!!!

Oh...

We certainly should remember those who struck out on their own from Regardez..

Shouldn't we?

Regardez Ltd Closure?
.
With considerable regret the directors, accountants and solicitors of Regardez Ltd have made the unpleasant decision to close Regardez Ltd and from this moment on will cease to trade. There are several reasons for the closure of Regardez Ltd which we would like to explain to you all as there are changes that are being implemented which may have grave consequences on the future of the Models, Extras and Actors in the industry.
.
The law was changed in April 2003 by the DTI to stop agencies from charging a registration fee for joining an agency and anyone charging this fee would be prosecuted, but agencies were allowed to charge for the publication of casting books, for printing modelling cards and the up-loading of information on to an agencies web site. In the DTI ‘s Employment Act 1973 agencies can charge for these promotional aids but not make a profit from this, but the DTI have now made a decision after 3 years and have now informed us that as an agency we cannot charge a one off fee for a life-time membership, so it would seem, therefore, that we have no choice but to cease our operations on agency work, and have been forced to put Regardez Ltd into liquidation.
.
After the television program Inside Out (produced by Paul Baker Tel: 01603 284315, 07747 033289, Fax: 01603 284393 Email: paul.baker@bbc.co.uk) which wrongly portrayed Regardez Ltd as a rough agency the clients which had used us and the people on our books have now decided to use other agencies as they do not wish to deal with us anymore. This unfortunately means that as a business we are unable to make an income and pay staff wages and the various running costs of the agency. This programme was the final nail in our coffin and will be for a lot of other agencies in the UK.
.
As you are probably aware over recent years the industry has been attacked by the press, TV and campaigners against up front fees such as Clive Hurst who is an actor and who has been a member of Equity for many years and has recently been elected to the Equity council for walk-on's. He has been a campaigner against what he calls up front fees charged by agencies for the past thirteen years and as indicated on his web site any agency charging this fee is scamming people. The actual fee that agencies charge is to cover the cost of various tools to promote the model, extra or artist to the clients, these consist of casting books, modelling cards and a web site through which clients can search to find the right person for their assignment. The fees charged by an agency are legal as laid down in the DTI Statutory Instruments in section 26(3).
.
Clive Hurst is man with his own opinions, in fact he hasn’t worked as an actor for many years now, (perhaps he’s not that good and nobody wants him?) and it seems that he is the only man in the country who is shooting off his mouth and writing incorrect and libellous information which is misleading the general public. The reason he is able to get away with writing libellous information is that our legal system is unable to prevent Clive Hurst from writing whatever he wishes because his web site server is based in California and does not come under British law, if it was a UK server then his web site would have been removed as the servers would have been sued if they had kept this information on their site.
.
It is a shame that someone who is an elected committee representative of Equity (the actors union) is allowed to use his position to write libellous material on a web site without carrying out an investigation into the companies that he is make these libellous remarks about (and he calls himself a reporter what a joke he is) and this must also apply to Equity as he is their representative.
.
Equity who are now campaigning with Clive Hurst to the government about the minimum wage and up front fees have not bothered to look at how agencies run and how they help the people on their books and you will find that if Equity get their own way in this matter then everyone who wants to be an extra will have to be a member of Equity or they will be unable to work in this industry, perhaps we will be going back to the old closed shop system which unions had a few years ago which would then restrict clients as to who they could use for their assignments.
.
This of course would put many agencies out of business which would make the staff working for these agencies unemployed and the majority of people who are on agencies books would not be able to sign to another agency so that would also put them out of work, we dare say that this would affect thousands of people within this industry except the people who are registered with Equity and BECTU who also pay a yearly up-front fee to be a member of their organisation, perhaps this is a case of the kettle calling the pot black.
.
I think it is because Equity and BECTU members are losing out on work and it is the ordinary man and woman in the street who are being employed through agencies like us and as unions they don’t like it and they have a bigger say than we do and they use people like you and the BBC to put their case forward because you listen to them...
.
Oh...
.
So Brian & Mark do find work for some people?
.
13 years of taking money up-front (according to the Rondevous website) where NO work has to be found - is NOT a record to be proud of...
.
Who is to blame?
.
Well...
.
Try the Department of Trade & Industry...
.
You have just ONE guess who set up this sad website:
